Chapter Fifteen

Dylan

“Roman, put your pants on. I’m coming in.” It’s the only warning I give them before I barge into Vada’s room.

“You know you are actually supposed to give people time to react before opening the door?” Roman says with a huff as he rolls off Vada and on to the other side of the bed. He’s still fully clothed, thank god, but it wouldn’t be the first time I’ve seen his ass.

They should learn to lock the door if they don’t want me to interrupt.

“You got home like five minutes ago; I knew you guys wouldn’t have gotten to the naked part yet.” I dramatically flop across the end of the bed and stare up at the ceiling, replaying what the hell just happened this afternoon.

Brad took me back to his place and showed me just how good sex is now that it doesn’t feel like I’m being split in two every time he slides his cock into me. He dropped me home with a kiss that almost had me begging for him to come inside with me, but I know he needs to get back to work.

“Is there a reason you interrupted us?” Roman says in mock annoyance. “And why the hell are you wearing a wedding dress?”

Shit.

I forgot I was still wearing the dress. Probably should have changed before I came in here.

“Brad and I are getting married.” Might as well rip the Band-Aid off.

Vada shoots up from her reclining position and leans over me so I can see her.

“You are what?” she says in her cute, high-pitched voice.

“Getting married, six weeks from now apparently.” I let out a long sigh and close my eyes, not wanting to see the confusion in my best friend’s eyes.

“I don’t understand,” Vada says, before moving back to the top of the bed.

“Me neither.” It’s true. I don’t fully understand what the hell happened.

“How do you not understand?” Roman chimes in.

“I don’t know what happened. One minute I’m sitting there wearing a wedding dress and eating a wedding cake, and the next thing I know, I’m agreeing to marry Brad in six weeks.” My voice cracks slightly as the reality of the afternoon hits me.

“I’m going to get a beer, and then you are going to start from the beginning and tell us everything,” Roman says, getting up from the bed. “What do you guys want to drink?” It’s Wednesday, which means Roman is staying here tonight. Vada made sure I got a copy of the sleepover schedule. Not that I care—Roman is my friend as well, so I love spending time with them both.

“Just water please,” Vada says at the same time as I say, “May as well bring the bottle of Jack with you.” I don’t need to look at Vada to know she’s staring at me with concern.

When Roman returns, he hands me the bottle of Jack, and I sit up to take a swig before I swing my legs around to sit cross-legged on the bed. A task that isn’t easy in a wedding dress.
